On March 30, 2021 an online meeting of the National Assembly-Civil Society Cooperation Platform was held. The topic of the meeting was the 2019-2021 National Action Plan on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 in the light of the current post-conflict situation in Armenia, including the humanitarian situation as well as the issue of prisoners of war.
The meeting helped to identify the priority areas for the next National Action Plan of Armenia.
Members of the National Assembly of the RA, representatives of the respective ministries and other state bodies, Human Rights Defender office, Armenian Red Cross Society representatives, CSOs, international organizations, experts, and lawyers participated in the meeting.
The initiative is undertaken within the framework of the “Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia project”. The UNDP “Modern Parliament for a Modern Armenia” project is co-implemented with the OxYGen Foundation, the International Center for Human Development, and the Westminster Foundation for Democracy, in partnership with the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia. The project is funded by the United Kingdom’s Good Governance Fund and the Government of Sweden.
